About: Therapy

"Because people are not defined by a diagnosis or demographic, clients deserve a therapist that will treat them as an individual and not a category". Effective therapy begins with establishing a rapport and comfort level needed for a client to begin the process of disclosing personal data, struggles and goals. This is followed by a balance of further insight based exploration and concrete establishment of desired changes.

Pamela earned her Master's degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas.

In addition Pamela studied film production at the Film Actors Lab in Las Colinas, Texas. Combining both backgrounds, she developed and produced a program called Playing the Tape, a DVD curriculum series. Playing the Tape won the award for best short in the Palm Beach Film Festival, 2006. This DVD program is being used in treatment centers and in private practice to help prevent relapse of addiction. Pamela has been published in trade journals and is a speaker and workshop presenter at national conferences. She is a member of the American Psychological Association.
